A common term in the shenzhen LED tape industry

We often receive inquiries from customers for LED tape, but because we are not familiar with the specifications and terms of LED tape, we often need to explain to customers for half a day to let them know. In view of this phenomenon, the following five specifications commonly used in Shenzhen LED tape to explain and share, but also for the reference of purchasing friends:

LED size:

1, 0603, 0805, 1210 and 5050 refer to the light emitting elements used in the LED strip --LED dimensions (in British/metric). Details of these specifications are as follows:

A. 0603: It is 1005 in metric, which means the LENGTH and width of the LED element is 1.0mm and 0.5mm. Industry abbreviation 1005, English system name is 0603.

B. 0805:2125 in metric, which means the length and width of the LED component is 2.0mm and 1.25mm. 2125 for industry abbreviation, 0805 in British system.

C. 1210:3528 in metric, which means the length and width of the LED element is 3.5mm and 2.8mm. The trade name is 3528 and the English name is 1210.

D. 5050: This is the metric name for the LED element, which is 5.0mm in length and 5.0mm in width. Industry abbreviation: 5050.

LED lights:

15 light, 30 light and 60 light refer to the number of LED components welded on the LED strip per meter in length. Generally speaking, the 1210 specification is 60 LED per meter, the 5050 specification is 30 LED per meter, and the special one is 60 LED per meter. The price of LED tape varies with the number of leds, which is also an important factor to distinguish the price of LED tape.

Color temperature:

1. Color temperature refers to the heating of a standard black body. When the temperature rises to a certain extent, the color gradually changes from dark red-light red-orange-yellow-white-blue, and the color of a certain light source is the same as that of the black body. Generally speaking, the color temperature is not used as an indicator to assess the LED lamp belt, but many foreign customers will make a special requirement because of the use environment.

2. The light source has different color temperature, so does the light color:

A. The color temperature is below 3300K, and the light color is reddish, giving a warm feeling; Have sedate atmosphere, warm feeling., generally called warm color temperature.

B. The color temperature is between 3000K and 6000K, so there is no obvious visual and psychological effect under this tone, which gives people a refreshing feeling; Therefore, it is called "neutral" color temperature

C. The color temperature is more than 6000K, and the light color is blue, giving people a cool feeling, generally called cool color temperature.

Brightness: CD (Kendra)

The basic unit of luminous intensity, Kendra is one of the basic units of the International system of Units. In general, different colors of LED light bands will have different intensity of illumination, and the common unit is MCD, i.e. milkendra. The higher the value, the greater the luminous intensity, that is, the brighter. This is an important indicator to evaluate the brightness of LED bands. The higher the brightness requirement is, the more expensive the band is. This is because high-brightness LED chips are more expensive, and the higher the brightness, the harder it is to package.

Luminous Angle:

This refers to the lighting Angle of LED components on LED lamps. Generally, the lighting Angle of SMD components is 120 degrees. The larger the luminance Angle is, the better the astigmatism effect will be. However, the luminance will be reduced correspondingly. The luminous Angle is small, the intensity of light is up, but the irradiation range will be reduced. Therefore, another important indicator to evaluate LED tape is the luminous Angle. Now there are some bad manufacturers in the market, in order to improve the brightness of light to earn higher profits, deliberately reduce the luminous Angle, a little careless, will buy such defective components.

Voltage:

This refers to the input voltage of LED lamp belt. The commonly used specification is DC 12V, or 24V.
